Site description

 an extensive reef system and exciting encounters with large marine animals. Divers often explore two popular drop spots at the south end of Gulfstream Ledge: “Clubhouse” and “Grouper Hole.” If you venture eastward, you’ll encounter the “spur & groove” feature, which is quite prominent. Further east lies a ridge known as I-95, where the underwater current is usually stronger, allowing divers to cover a lot of ground. The depth of Gulfstream Ledge reaches approximately 95 feet, aptly named after the highway of the same number. Whether you’re an open water diver or an experienced enthusiast, Gulfstream Ledge promises an exciting underwater adventure!

Route & typical conditions

Route

North Current: If there’s a northward current, consider dropping in near “Clubhouse.” This spot provides access to the main ledge. South Current: For a southward current, drop in south of Briny Breezes. This area also leads to the main ledge. Grouper Hole: If you’re interested in the “Grouper Hole,” drop on the eastern side across from “Clubhouse” and drift north.

Typical conditions

Visibility tends to be really good in this site, but currents are strong (sometime moderate, but usually present and heading north).
