Site Description

The Arida, a 165-foot sister ship to the Lakeland, sank in August 1982. Like the Lakeland, she was a landing craft utility vessel (LCU) from the Vietnam War era. Resting in 88 feet of water, the Arida now lies on her side, providing 25 feet of relief. However, storms over the years have taken their toll, causing significant damage and collapse,
