Site description
3 King is a small reef located off the coast of Boca Raton. It sits just north of the well known reef "San Remo". The site is around 1200 feet long and has sandy patches both to the north and south.There are many submarine cables crossing by both to the north and south of this site.
Marine life is average in this site: is has a prominent west facing ledge (around 10 feet tall) and here is where most of the tropical fish tend to stay.
Route & typical conditions
Route
Given the small size of the reef, operators may choose to run this site either as a drift dive or as an anchor dive. If currents are strong, and properly planned; a drift dive is the best way to get to know this site and the broader reef system that sits north and south.
Typical conditions
Conditions are often good in this site, but currents can be moderate to strong. Visibility can range from 40 to 60 feet.
