Site description

Bluffs, often hailed as one of Jupiter’s most picturesque local reefs, comprises a series of cul-de-sacs along a high ledge. These cul-de-sacs act like miniature aquariums, showcasing vibrant colors from the corals and sponges even at their 65-foot depth. As you explore, you’ll encounter tropical fish, some swimming in large schools that can obscure your view. The main ledge, situated at 65 to 70 feet, offers features that appeal to both novice and experienced drift divers. Here, you’ll find a resident Goliath grouper surrounded by Glassy sweepers. Large Green moray eels are common, as well as Loggerhead, Hawksbill, and Green turtles. These turtles might be napping under the ledge or searching for a meal on top of it. And don’t forget to glance westward occasionally—huge Southern rays often bury themselves in the sand. Recently, a Reef shark has made this area its home, delighting divers who happen to be in the right spot. Bluffs is a popular dive site due to its manageable navigation and depth, as well as the abundance of marine life.
