Site description
This shallow reef is part of the 2nd reef line. Got his name given the amount of nurse sharks that are often seen in this site.
The site has a west facing ledge and tropical fish and reef species are abundant in this site.
Route & typical conditions
Route
In a typical north heading current, operators will put divers in the south end of the reef and allow divers to drift. Always carry a dive flag - specially needed in the close to shore reef and given the high boat traffic in the area.
Typical conditions
Conditions are typically good in this site. Given its relative position to the Port Everglades inlet murky water coming off the inlet does not affect visibility much.
Current are often mild and heading north.
