Site description
“The Drop Off” is an underwater ecosystem characterized by reef-building corals. It covers over 25 mooring buoys, including the Nursery and Copenhagen. The reef line runs parallel to the shore. The predominant ledge faces east, while there are also nice ledges and holes to the west. As the reef slopes westward, you’ll find Staghorn Coral growing along the leeward side in certain areas. Marine species thrive in this habitat
Route & typical conditions
Route
Operators may choose to do this as a drift dive, if so divers will jump into the water to then be picked up around an hour later. Regardless of the starting point, divers should be following the eastern facing ledge to get the best out of this site.
Typical conditions
Very mild north currents are the norm. Visibility tends tends to be really good in this site.
