Site description
Located of the coast of Deerfield Beach, Sally's reef is part of the third reef line (ama outer reef). This dive site is suited for for both the open water and advanced open water diver.
The site has a west facing ledge in around 60 feet of water with a 8 feet relief. Most of the marine life is concentrated on the ledge.
The east part of the reef presents the typical reef fingers: patchy reef mixed with sand and goes down to 95 feet deep.

Given its conditions, this dive site is always done as a drift dive. Currents can be strong in this site. Divers should follow the ledge to get the most out of this site.

With moderate to strong currents, conditions in this site are often good: visibility ranges from 40 to 70 feet.
