Site description

Suzanne’s Ledge, located off Pompano Beach, is often mistaken for the inner reef. However, it grows on top of a ridge complex identified by scientists. The main ledge faces east and runs parallel to the shore. Interestingly, Suzanne’s Ledge is a continuation of the same tract as the Pompano Drop Off. Mooring buoys were installed on the ridge in 2008. When diving here, you’ll encounter juvenile species, schooling baitfish, and even tarpon. If you venture west, keep an eye out for clusters of Staghorn Coral as well!
