Site description
Touchdown Reef earned its nickname due to the two condos located directly offshore, which resemble goal posts—though perhaps not the most scientifically rigorous comparison. This shallow reef is abundant with marine life. The reef’s topography ranges from approximately 30 to 33 feet, gradually dropping to 40 feet in the west and 45 feet in the east. Notably, large sections of the reef extend perpendicularly to the west in certain areas.

Route
For the best experience, consider diving on a northward drift. However, you have the flexibility to start in either direction. As you explore, follow the dominant ledge, swimming over or around any protrusions you encounter.
