Site description

This very small tug sits east to the C-One Tug. Although marine life is abundant, there is not much this site can offer to explore. This site - together with the others near by - are good training sites for divers taking on a navigation course. Penetration is not possible in this site.

Route & typical conditions

Route

One lap over the wreck and that's all what's needed. Divers may reach this site coming from the west (C-One). It's very unlikely that dive operators will schedule a trip to this particular site stand alone.

Typical conditions

Given the site's proximity to the Haulover inlet and the fact that it sits slightly north of it, visibility tends to be murky in typical north currents - specially true in low tide, Current can be strong occasionally.

Wreck history

The White Coast, a 33-foot-long tugboat, was intentionally sunk in approximately 65 feet of water off the coast of Miami on May 6, 1995. This small vessel lies in close proximity to the C-One tugboat. Additionally, both the 45-foot-long tug Lady Carmen and the 150-foot-long freighter Conception are within easy swimming distance from the White Coast. Exploring this cluster of wrecks must be an exciting underwater adventure!
