Site description
Beer Can reef is a shallow reef located just south of Hillsboro inlet in Pompano Beach. This site is usually used for training - specially for those starting their scuba diving journey given its close proximity to the inlet and its depth.
The site has a west facing ledge that congregates a good variety of tropical fish. There are some sandy patches that are very handy for instructors to work with their students.

Route
This dive is usually done as an anchor dive - divers will be requested to return to the starting point of the dive. The west facing ledge on this site is the main attraction.
Typical conditions
Very mild currents and good visibility (30 to 60 feet) are the norm here. This site may see its visibility degraded if tides are low and specially if south currents are prevalent in the area.
