Site description

The Briny Breezes Reef, despite its name, wasn’t named by an Irishman. Instead, it derives its name from the nearby Briny Breezes mobile home community. The reef runs parallel to the shore, making it ideal for drift diving. Like other reefs in Boynton, it teems with marine life, and turtles are frequently spotted there.

Route

For the best scenic route, consider starting either on the south drop or the north drop, depending on the current. Follow the prominent western ledge.

Typical conditions

As most of the sites in Boynton Beach, currents are often strong but visibility is also really good. Divers shall expect currents around 2 to 3 knots and visibility ranging 50 to 80 feet.
