Site description

The Fourth Window reef, located south of the Palm Beach Inlet, is part of the Breakers Reef system in Palm Beach County. This natural coral reef line stretches from north to south, submerged in 50-65 feet of water. Named after the iconic Breakers Hotel, many dive boats drop divers off at the Fourth Window spot, which aligns with the fourth window on the hotel’s northern side. The shallowest point of this reef features a ledge (5-10 feet high) teeming with marine life, making it a favorite drift dive experience for Open Water certified divers. On the deeper eastern side, divers can explore and even spearfish or hunt for lobsters. During spring and summer, the site is bustling with Loggerhead, Green, and Hawksbill sea turtles.
