Site description

A beautiful vertical reef with 40 feet of relief. This part of the 3rd reef line takes a deep cut and present a "wall" like scene. The deepest part is at around 80 feet and the wall rises to about 50 feet. A lot of tropical fish, corals and sponges live in this west facing ledge - or better said, wall! Lobsters say also present in this site.

Route & typical conditions

Route

Operators often conduct this dive as a drift, putting divers in the water either at the north most point of the wall if the currents are south, or in the south if the currents are north. This site is often dove as the second stop in a trip to the Tortuga given its proximity. It is also a good finish for divers attempting the wreck of Pimelious (sitting to the east of the wall).

Typical conditions

Conditions vary in this site. Given the geography, sometime visibility is good in the shallow part of the wall and decreases with depth. Currents tend to be mild - specially in the deepest part of the wall. This helps divers enjoy the dive - and not rush it due to ripping currents.
