Site description

This site sits in the same system as Pompano Trench, Lost Ledge and Sunkist. Razzle Dazzle is the northern part of the reef closer to Hillsboro inlet. Marine life is abundant: divers keep reporting the presence of bull sharks in this part of the reef. This part of the reef has a doble ledge both facing west which makes the dive really interesting. In the far east part of the reef, the typical formation of "spur and groove" hold larger marine life like sharks, turtles and Goliath groupers.

Route & typical conditions

Route

This dive is typically done as a drift. Regardless of the direction of the current, divers shall keep the path marked by the west facing ledge. For those spearfishing, the deep portion (east) of this reef may be the most interesting one.

Typical conditions

Conditions vary a lot in this site. Its proximity to the Hillsboro inlet makes this site a real gamble. If conditions are good, divers may see visibilities between 50 to 80 feet, while in bad conditions visibility can be reduced to 20 feet. Currents are often mild and heading north.
